Supperclub Success

Forget about Clarke Kent. Peter Parker who? And don’t even think about Bruce Wayne……… This month is all about Action Against Hunger’s very own ‘Supperheroes’!

As part of our Love Food Give Food appeal we’re joining  the uber-fashionable supper-club scene with the launch of our own ‘Supperheroes’ dinner party series.

Throughout October London’s food lovers will be putting their  super powerful culinary skills to good use as they take Action Against Hunger and turn their homes into pop-up restaurants.

Working with Edible Experiences, a host of Supperheroes are donning their masks and capes – or more accurately their aprons and whisks – to cook up a storm for lucky guests. So far we have seen Jamaican evenings, Mauritian tastings, Indian feasts and there are so many more delicious evenings still to come!

Guests who attend at least three Supperheroes events during the campaignwill be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win prizes straight from foodie heaven, including:

• A Delicious Hamper of Unearthed goodies

• A 3-hour Asian Cookery Masterclass for 2 at School of Wok, Covent Garden

• “Sausage-Wrangling” Course for 2 at The Butchery Ltd. Learn how to make your own sausages and find out why they taste so good!

A huge thank you to each and every Supperhero  host who is helping us get child hunger off the table. Our amazing heroes have already raised a fantastic £5,000 for our Love Food Give Food appeal, which aims to reach 100,000 children across Liberia, Niger and Burkina Faso.

How do I Join?

There’s still plenty of exciting events lined up, so if you would like to get involved with a unique dining experience, and try some fantastic home-cooked food for a great cause, visit edible experiences.

I want to be a supperhero

If you love to cook and want to embrace your own superhero alter ego.  Contact us to find out more about hosting your own Supperheroes supper club for Love Food Give Food.

I like cooking, but I want to keep things simple

If preparing an entire dinner for guests seems a bit daunting, then why not get creative in the kitchen in a different way? You could organise a cake sale or a ‘bring-a-dish and a fiver’ event at work, or even dress up as your favourite foods to raise money for Love Food Give Food!

With World Food Day coming up on Tuesday 16th October, the time is perfect for you to get involved in our appeal and help get child hunger off the table.
