Let’s get child hunger off the table

Welcome to Love Food Give Food – our campaign to get child hunger off the table. This autumn people across the nation are uniting to take action against hunger and we want you to join us!

Via this blog we’ll be showing you the impact your action is having on the everyday lives of children and their families in the villages of Burkina Faso, Niger and Liberia. We’ll tell you the stories of children who, with your support, can come back from the edge of starvation to take steps towards a life where they can grow and thrive.

Through these stories we’ll show you just how access to food and nutrition can transform the lives of whole communities, starting with the children whose growing bodies need it the most, to ensuring that families are able to feed themselves and prevent hunger in the future. We will celebrate the potential of the people we are working with to build a world without hunger, for their children and the generations to come.

And to join us in this celebration we have invited food lovers across the UK to unite against hunger. From our well-known chef ambassadors to restaurants and bloggers, to those like me who just love to cook, we all know that the solutions to end child hunger are within our reach and that together we can get child hunger off the table.

So this autumn we’re asking you to take small actions to make a BIG difference – to start a chain reaction that will transform the lives of thousands of children. And what’s more, for every pound you give the UK Government will DOUBLE your donation – helping us to reach twice as many children. Because we believe that all children should be well-nourished so they can enjoy their childhood, attend school and develop into healthy adults. And because we know that an end to child hunger is within our reach.

So take action today – make a donation, eat out in one of our participating restaurants, host a dinner party at home, and tell your friends about how together we can get child hunger off the table. And remember whatever you give, every donation will be doubled by the UK Government helping us to reach twice as many children so they can grow, learn and realise their dreams.

Join us – and let’s get child hunger off the table.
