10km Challenge is a success

This year’s 10K Challenge took place on Wednesday and this year it was bigger than ever before. A grand total of 253 runners ran around Regents Park in London, helping us raise over £47,000 so far.

This has already beaten last year’s total and the funds are still rolling in. It’s a fantastic achievement and means we are one step closer to getting child hunger off the table.

Post race, runners and supporters were treated to Indian vegetarian soup courtesy of the lovely Cyrus Todiwala at Cafe Spice Namaste.

Feng Sushi donated a North African inspired cous cous salad, providing a healthy option for the runners to boost their energy.

And last but by no means least an array of macaroons from Hawksmoor. They donated three gorgeous flavours:  Vanilla from Madagascar, Chocolate from Brazil and Coffee from Kenya.

All our runners did an amazing job and a big thank you to everyone who helped at the event, whether that be running, volunteering or donating their time.

This is just one example of how people are doing their bit for our appeal to help malnourished children, like baby Oubra in Burkina Faso, read his story.
